Hello everyone! I am so new to this tech stuff even though I have managed to learn and use things like Smartboards, clickers, and mobis in my classroom. I have learned about some web 2.0 tools and have used a few.
I am an Algebra 1 teacher at a middle school and will be teaching Geometry as well next year. I have attended many workshops that the school district provides on technology but the training is very minimal. I usually have to play with whatever we learned about for a while. I also get frustrated when I don't have what I need in my classroom to really implement more technology into my lessons.
My vocabulary as far as technology is shabby , for instance, I had no idea what a blog url was so I googled it. Still not quite sure.
Anyway, just trying this blogging out and seems very simple. I would definitely like to have a blog for my math courses so students can discuss, explain and share information.
I am looking forward to really learning about all of the web tools that are available to me and my students. I love technology but need to know how to use it efficiently and make it and easy part of my lesson plans.
Jackie, a url is a universal resource locator and is basically the web address to get to the page desire. It appears as if you did this correctly because I can read and see you blog just fine. By The Way, love the background picture! I need to know how to do that part!
